RS Components presents first live demo of Embedded Development Platform at Electronica 2008

Visitors to this year’s Electronica have the chance to see the first live demo of its Embedded Development Platform (EDP). A universal development tool for rapid prototype development of microcontroller driven designs, it is the first of its kind that is manufacturer-independent.

The stand itself into a live demo: managing the power to the demo area and to control the counter display moving demo of NeuroRobotics’ ‘NeuroArm’ that was integrated into a mobile robot by using the RS EDP

The RS EDP embraces a three element concept:

• a re-usable baseboard
• a combination of up to four CPU Modules
• up to four Application Modules.

It is the first tool that offers a standard platform where designers can evaluate different microcontroller technologies and applications for prototype development independently from manufacturers.
